

Diana's Tale ChpA distant crack penetrated my conscious, and I curled myself tighter into a ball; fighting the creeping advance of awareness. Three nights had passed while I wandered, grieving for both my lost friend and humanity. I drifted through the woods blissfully numb, motivated to movement only by the otherness. Now it seemed that reprieve was drawing to an end. The numbness I had felt even a few moments ago was rapidly fading, replaced by a gnawing hunger at the pit of my stomach.
